We recently wrapped up an exciting teaching campaign as part of project CITADEL in Malta! The teaching campaign focused on the rich and fascinating world of Greek mythology as well as the reception of mythology in digital games.

The campaign took place at St Michael Foundation (Senior School) and at St Margaret College Erin Serracino Inglott Middle School. The aim was to bring ancient myths to life, enabling middle and secondary school students to explore stories, heroes, and timeless themes
that continue to shape our world today.

Engaging Lessons and Interactive Activities

Throughout the campaign, students participated in dynamic lessons, creative storytelling sessions, and hands-on activities designed to immerse them in the world of gods, heroes, and mythical creatures. From discussions on the Greek gods and goddesses to retellings of the
Trojan war, each session encouraged curiosity and critical thinking.

The heart of the teaching campaign was that students were able to share their own ideas and feedback for the development of project CITADEL’s digital game. In this way, students were not only introduced to Greek mythology, but they also contributed directly to the creation of a new digital game.

A Digital Impact

By connecting ancient myths to digital games, this campaign helped students develop a deeper appreciation for classical literature and storytelling. We’re thrilled with the enthusiasm and creativity we saw and now we can’t wait to unveil project CITADEL’s game!

Stay tuned for more updates on our upcoming events!
