The consortium of project CITADEL is thrilled to unveil the brand new project logo! The design reflects the project’s mission, values, and target audiences.

The new logo represents a bridge between the Classics and the digital world. The centrepiece of the logo is a likeness of Athena holding up a smartphone. This blend of elements from the ancient and contemporary world creates a visual identity that feels fresh yet timeless. 

The colour scheme of deep blue with elements of gold was carefully chosen to appeal to both younger communities as well as academics and professionals, thus ensuring the logo resonates with the full range of our target audiences.

For us, this new logo is more than just a visual update – it’s a testament of our passion for the Classics and of our vision for project CITADEL. It embodies our commitment to bring the ancient world to contemporary audiences in significant ways and using innovative techniques. The logo is a symbol of everything the project seeks to achieve and all that’s yet to come.
